Here’s the prize money payout for each golfer at the 2026 3M Open
David Berding
Jackson Koivun. Wow.
The man who was the World No. 1 amateur just a month ago took down the World No. 1 professional to win the 3M Open in Minnesota. That's right, Koivun, playing in only his third PGA Tour event as a professional, went bogey-free on the weekend, shooting 61-66 to end at 25-under 259 total, beating Scottie Scheffler by three shots at TPC Twin Cities.
The 21-year-old former all-world stud from Auburn collected $1.584 million from the overall $8.8 million purse. He now vaults to 70th in the FedEx Cup standings, earned an exemption into the Masters next year and is immediately on U.S. captain Brandt Snedeker's radar for September's President Cup.
Fast learner.
Scheffler shot eight-under 63 on Sunday to close the gap, but Koivun shot 66 and held on for his first of what many beleive will be many PGA Tour wins. That means Scheffler will end the PGA Tour's regular season with only one victory as the next time he's expected to play is in the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
Only the Rocket Classic and Wyndham Championship remain in the regular season so time is dwindling for those looking to qualify for the playoffs.
