Here’s the prize money payout for each golfer at the 2025 Buick LPGA Shanghai

In its 26th event of the 2025 season, the LPGA finally has a two-time winner. World No. 1 Jeeno Thitkul defeated Minami Katsu with birdie on the fifth playoff hole to claim the title at the Buick LPGA Shanghai.
The two players were tied at 24-under 264 at Qizhong Garden Golf Club after Thitkul shot a closing 63 to chase down the 54-hole leader and set up the playoff.
With Thitkul having won previously at the Mizuho Americas Open in May, the Thailand native ended the crazy streak of every tournament to date in 2025 being won by a different player—26 different winners in all. That allowed her to pick-up the $330,000 first-place prize money payout from the $2.2 million purse. It was the sixth career LPGA win for the 22-year-old.
The Buick LPGA Shanghai was the first event of the second Asian swing of the year for the LPGA Tour. It featured 82 players and no cut.
Unfortunately, the biggest news entering the event was the shape of the greens in Shanghai. Photos were posted on social media of brown, patchy greens that looked poorly maintained. The LPGA released a statement saying that tournament officials “worked diligently against extreme heat conditions this season in preparation for this week's event.”
Despite the conditions, the scores throughout the week were impressively low, with 61 players finishing under par for the week.
