Only two events remain in the PGA Tour’s fall schedule, now that the tour has left Mexico after the World Wide Technology Championship at El Cardonal at Diamante in Los Cabos.

It was Austin Eckroat who walked away with the title, his second this year after winning the Cognizant Classic at PGA National back in March. He took home $1.296 million for his victory from the overall $7.2 million purse. He already was inside the top 50 in the FedEx Cup standings so his status was secure for 2025.

Eckroat shot 68-67-66-63 for a 24-under-par 264 total. Justin Lower and Carson Young both tied for second place to dratcially improve their positioning for full status on the PGA Tour next year. Lower made eagle on the par-5 18th hole Sunday and Young made birdie. Eckroat, however, made bogey to still win by one.

A reminder, full status is on the line during this stretch of the fall season along with entry into two early signature events in 2025—the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Genesis Invitational. As part of the Aon Next 10, those ranked Nos. 51-60 in FedEx points will play in those two events. Those from 61-125 will retain full status for next year and Nos. 126-150 will have conditional status. All those players can improve status by playing in PGA Tour Q-School.

The Butterfield Bermuda Championship is this week at Rort Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda. The RSM Classic ends the season the following week at St. Simons Island, Ga.
