Newly crowned Valero Texas Open champ Corey Conners is sorry, but not that sorry. Yeah, he already had a Masters spot locked up, so he wasn’t playing for the 11th hour invite to Augusta National like those surrounding him on the leaderboard. But winning on the PGA Tour is a big deal, and the 31-year-old Canadian was just as hungry as runner-up Sam Stevens or chasers Sam Ryder, Matt Kuchar and Patrick Rodgers.

With a par on the last hole, Conners closed out a final-round bogey-free 68 at TPC San Antonio for a 15-under 273 total, holding off Stevens and claiming his second career tour victory, the other coming at this event in 2019.

"It was really solid all day," said Conners, who is the third player from Canada to win on tour since last November, joining Adam Svensson and Mackenzie Hughes. "I struck the ball really well and gave myself a lot of looks and kept things under control."

Conners’ win comes with a first-place prize money payout of $1.602 million from an overall purse is $8.9 million. Here’s the prize money payout for each golfer who made the cut this week.
