Here's the prize money payout for each golfer at the 2020 Safeway Open

The Safeway Open offers a modest prize money payout to start the 2020-’21 PGA Tour season. The overall purse is $6.6 million with the winner earning $1.188 million. And yet, for any of the top 11 players on the leader board heading into Sunday’s final round at Silverado Resort in Napa, Calif., taking home the first-place prize would have been among the biggest paydays they’ve had in years if not exceeding their yearly aggregate earnings on the PGA Tour.
Here was a breakdown of all the players within two strokes of the lead entering the final round and how much PGA Tour prize money these players have earned total in the last three seasons.

Long story short, winning $1.118 million on Sunday is a game-changer for most of the leader board, giving the final round an added level of intrigue.
In the end, it was Cink who came out on top, shooting a closing 65 to win by two strokes over Higgs. With that, the 47-year-old claimed his seventh career PGA Tour title, but first since his 2009 Open Championship win at Turnberry. And the $1.188 million was Cink’s biggest payday since winning $1.2 million for the British Open title 11 years ago.
