Here's the prize money payout for each golfer at the 2020 Memorial Tournament

Jack Nicklaus, a 73-time PGA Tour winner, earned $5,734,031 during his illustrious tour career. On Sunday, Jon Rahm won the Memorial Tournament and earned a prize money payout of $1.674 million. We’ll help you do the math here: that’s a little more than 29 percent of Nicklaus’ career earnings, for the one victory.

As the saying goes, nice work if you can get it.

Rahm finished with a closing 75, which included two extra penalty strokes that he was handed after the round. That's when he was made aware that when he was preparing to hit a chip shot on the 16th hole—one that he would actually hole for what he thought was for birdie—he moved his ball slightly. Instead, he would have to take a bogey 6 on the hole. Even with the penalty, he still defeated runner-up Ryan Palmer by three strokes.

Being an invitational event on the PGA Tour, the overall prize money payout of $9.3 million at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, is among the highest for a non-major.
