Golfer's first shot with new practice net goes spectacularly wrong
So you wanna get better at golf? Well, you've got to practice more. And an easy way to do that is by getting a practice net so you can work on your swing at home. But it's not as easy as it seems. For one, you have to actually practice. For another? You have to actually hit the ball into the net.
We've seen various viral videos through the years of failure to do so. But never one quite like the one currently making the rounds.
It involves a man trying out his new practice setup for the first time. ("Alright, here we go," he excitedly says. "First shot on the home practice range.") And things going spectacularly wrong.
Fortunately, his wife(?) got it all on camera. And, also, fortunately, no one (we assume/hope) was hurt in the making of this video. Anyway, have a look:
I mean, that wasn't even close to hitting the net. Dude skied that over the top like he was Phil Mickelson hitting a flop shot.
"Where'd it go?" he says.
"Sh--," the woman responds. "That's gone down by the roundabout! Oh, god!"
And just like that, an instant classic viral golf video was born. But again, we hope no one was hurt (Hey, there were no screams coming from the street … good sign!) in the making of it. Because if they were, that viral video is going to be Exhibit A in court.
