Isabelle Boineau, Arizona
After opening with a 69-70 showing at GC of Vistoso in Tucson, a closing 73 from of the junior from France was a solid score given the windy conditions during the final round of the Arizona Wildcat Invitational. Boineau cruised to a two-stroke triumph over a trio of players and helped the Wildcats pull out a 11-stroke team victory over Pac-10 foe California.
"This feels amazing," said Boineau, who was also the medalist at the Topy Cup last September. "Winning means a lot. To get the team win is also great, and I'm really proud of us. Dealing with the wind [during the final round], I just tried to stay mentally strong and focused."
