The DP World Tour announced that Gavin Green has been suspended three months for violating the tour’s anti-doping policy.

According to the European circuit, Green tested positive for a banned substance when taking a herbal supplement available in Asia. Green was using it as therapeutic treatment for an unrevealed medical issue.

Green tested positive last August at the Danish Golf Championship, where he finished T-40. He has been retroactively disqualified from the event.

Green, 32, became the first Malaysian player to win the Asian Tour’s Order of Merit in 2017. He’s represented his country in the past three Olympic golf competitions, his best finish a T-33 at the 2024 games in Paris. Green has played most of his golf on the DP World Tour since 2018, racking up 221 starts including a career-high 30 appearances last season.

However, he finished 142nd in the Race to Dubai standings and didn’t secure full playing rights at the league’s Q-School after the season. He enters 2026 with conditional status.

The tour said his suspension will be dated to Dec. 5, 2025, allowing a chance to return to competition in March. A statement from the DP World Tour said Green “has cooperated fully” during the process and has accepted the punishment.
