Free iPhone app measures your tee shots
Dustin Duclo is a software developer who for a hobby creates iPhone apps that he distributes through SimplyDustyApps. An avid golfer, he was curious how far his tee shots were traveling. So he decided to develop an app that uses the built-in GPS on his iPhone to measure the distance.

It's called Golf Shot Distance and it's free in the iTunes Store. It comes with a start button that is pressed at the point from which you hit the shot and an end button that you press when you get to the ball. Up pops the yards (or meters) that your ball traveled.
It comes with two inexpensive upgrades (99 cents each), one that will measure the distances for everyone in your foursome and one that will save the distances and provide an average.
