A summer staple for coastal vacation towns and preppy dressers, seersucker is making an ultra-stylish splash in the golf style world this week. Inspired by the PGA Championship’s coastal venue, the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island, brands like FootJoy and Nike have decided to remix traditional seersucker looks into modernized, performance-ready versions of the sophisticated print. Nike’s seersucker golf shoe capsule sold out almost instantly online, further proving the golf world’s enthusiasm for the blue-and-white striped motif. While Nike’s take on seersucker was bold and fashion-forward, FootJoy maintained a more traditional look of its collection while adding golf-ready performance elements not typically found in seersucker pieces. Here’s a look at the FootJoy Southern Living Collection, available now.

The most recognizable version of seersucker in the collection is on the men’s shorts. With a traditional blue-and-white stripe and linen-like fabric, it’s a lightweight short that’s easy to match with. The slightly crinkled look is a mainstay of seersucker, adding texture and highlighting the light coloring of the fabric. These 10-inch shorts are also moisture-wicking, have a gripper waistband and an anti-microbial finish.

Similar to the blue, these 10-inch shorts also come in a summery orange color that might be able to replace your khakis for the next few months. The soft orange will match with most tops and has an ultra-lightweight fabric to keep you cool. The linen-like finish of the fabric can be dressed up or down to transition effortlessly from the golf course to dinner.

On the ladies side, this skort will become a new go-to in many closets this year. We’d love to see it paired with a simple white golf shirt for an upscale outfit that’s still athletic looking and feeling. Double-stitched seams make for a durable wear, built-in shorts add a ton of comfort and yes, it has pockets.

FootJoy designed two women's golf shirts to match the seersucker skirt. The no-button collared top is made with a comfortable stretch pique fabric and comes in either a soft blue or white color. Each has a contrasting collar trim and knit sleeve bands that enhance the sophisticated golf shirt design.

There are four golf shirt options on the men’s side of the collection including a bold orange, simple white, classic navy and fun seersucker stripe version.
