Farmers Insurance Open odds 2023: Jon Rahm inching closer and closer to rare territory

With his victory at the 2023 American Express, Jon Rahm now has four wins in his last six starts across the PGA and DP World Tours. Yet still, he sits at No. 3 in the Official World Golf Ranking, which should theoretically continue to motivate him to keep dominating.

That could explain why the Spaniard is a shocking +450 on the DraftKings Sportsbook to win the Farmers Insurance Open this week. It's not quite "Rahm vs. the Field" territory, a la Tiger Woods, but it's certainly inching closer and closer to that reality. Should he win this week at Torrey Pines, he could get down to as low as +200 the next time he turns up, likely at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.

After Rahm at 12-1 are Xander Schauffele and Tony Finau. Schauffele's WD from the Sentry Tournament of Champions due to a back injury seemed concerning for 2023, but he quelled those concerns with a T-3 finish at the AMEX thanks to a final-round 62. Outside of some daily soreness, Schauffele said afterward that he's feeling better and better each day. In seven trips to the Farmers, Schauffele's hometown event, he's been hot and cold, with a runner-up, a 25th, a 34th and four missed cuts.

Justin Thomas and Collin Morikawa make up the next group at 14-1, with last year's runner-up, Will Zalatoris, right after them at 16-1. Sungjae Im is 18-1, and then the odds jump to 25-1 (Taylor Montgomery, Max Homa, Jason Day). Davis Thompson, fresh off his close call in the California desert, can be found way down the odds board at 110-1.
