Danny Willett is a legend for what he did the morning after winning the Masters

Danny Willett says he still gets goosebumps when he talks about winning the Masters back in 2016. But what he did the morning after slipping the green jacket on might be even more impressive.
Willett hopped on the DP World Tour's Life on Tour podcast this week to talk about his interesting career that has been highlighted by that Sunday at Augusta National when he stunned the golf world by chasing down Jordan Spieth to claim his only major championship. Of course, Spieth helped with that all-time meltdown on the 12th hole, but Willett still shot a bogey-free 67 when it mattered most.
And as he told hosts George Harper and Nicolas Colsaerts, not surprisingly, there was quite an after party. But just as stunning as Sunday's result was Willett's Monday morning routine after just a few hours of sleep.
And then I got up at seven in the morning and went for a run,” Willett said.
Say what?
“I was still drunk, I was still intoxicated, but I had so much adrenaline," Willett continued. "It was like I was floating on a cloud to be honest. It was the easiest run I’ve ever done.”
That's wild. Although, that sounds like a pretty darn good feeling. Anyway, check out the full pod here (story at the 26-minute mark):
That's the stuff of legend. Or the stuff of a lunatic. Regardless, a tip of the cap to you, Mr. Willett.
