Callaway Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, Chrome Soft golf balls: Callaway launches its next generation of Chrome series golf balls (Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X and Chrome Soft) with a distinctive upgrade in a stronger, stiffer mantle layer designed to boost initial ball speed throughout all three models in the line. A refined seamless aerodynamic dimple pattern aims to tighten overall consistency for shots from the fairway, as well. $58 a dozen. Available Jan. 30.

Callaway Quantum drivers: The five different Callaway Quantum drivers may look like the most complex array of offerings for a new driver family, but it’s the three-piece face design that heralds a complexity that easily is the most ambitious in the company’s four-decade history. The three parts include an ultra-thin, variable thickness titanium face, an anti-ballistic polymer mesh bonding material and a sheet of strong carbon composite that provides tension that allows the titanium to be thinner, stronger and more flexible than in a standard one-piece design. The range includes a high-forgiveness, broad-service model (Max), a high-launching draw bias model (Max D), two low-spin options for faster swings (Triple Diamond and the more forgiving Triple Diamond Max) and a lightweight version targeting moderate speed players (Max Fast). $650 (Max, Max D); $700 (Triple Diamond, Triple Diamond Max, Max Fast). At retail Feb. 13.

Callaway Quantum Max, Max OS and Max Fast irons: Callaway’s latest line of game- and super-game-improvement irons—Quantum Max, Quantum Max OS and Quantum Max Fast—share a host of common technologies yet are geared towards specifically different audiences. The Max is more of a traditional game-improvement club, the Max OS is a noticeably oversized super-game-improvement model and the Max Fast is a lightweight version aimed at slower swing speeds. The Quantum Max and Max OS cost $164 per iron in steel and $178 per club in graphite. Max Fast is $192 per club, graphite only. Available at retail Feb. 27.
