Bubba Watson came to the par-4 18th at Riviera needing par for victory, but made a 14-footer for birdie to earn a two-stroke win over Dustin Johnson, his first since the 2012 Masters and fifth on the PGA Tour. Watson trailed by eight strokes entering the weekend, but stormed back with consecutive 64s on Saturday and Sunday, making 14 birdies and no bogeys. Watson was T-6 after three rounds, four strokes behind William McGirt, and birdied five of his first eight holes Sunday to take the lead, highlighted by a hole out from the bunker on the 199-yard, par-3 sixth.
