Bryson DeChambeau may have found his next 'Break 50' partner and it's exactly who it should be
Bryson DeChambeau will have a nearly impossible time attempting to eclipse the success of his recent "Break 50" challenge video with Donald Trump, which has now garnered over 10 million views. It is by far his most-watched video on his YouTube channel. The next closest challenger is video of a match with Phil Mickelson, which has 3.2 million.
His potential next guest probably won't even eclipse that, but it will certainly be a people-pleaser. The reigning U.S. Open champion took to X recently to ask his following of nearly 500,000 "Who should I have on the next episode of Break 50?" DeChambeau got over 10,000 responses to the question, with names ranging from New York Jets cornerback and avid golfer Sauce Gardner to TNT's Charles Barkley to current POTUS Joe Biden.
Two weeks after posing the question, DeChambeau finally responded himself on Tuesday afternoon, quote-tweeting his possible next guest, two-time major winner John Daly:
That would be the dictionary definition of giving the people what they want. The man who invented gripping and ripping it and the guy who has taken that to the nth degree over the last few years. From the red tees, this tag team could do some serious damage.
Of course, if you really want to give the people what they want, Daly should also be allowed to drink and rip cigs throughout. And DeChambeau should join him. Now that might have a chance of doing Phil numbies.
