Blades Brown, the never-ending Good Good saga and the worst "logo rules" of all time

Blades Brown's mother, a former WNBA player, has coached and taught high school kids for over 20 years. Something she noticed about her son as he grew up was how he was "a little more mature" than most of the young people she came across, and that his temperament was ideal for the golf course.
In speaking to him on this week's episode of The Loop podcast, we see what she meant. The 19-year-old is the dictionary definition of "polished."
Brown, who bounced between the Korn Ferry Tour and PGA Tour in 2026, made 21 out of 25 cuts across both tours, racking up five top-10 finishes on the KFT and two on the PGA Tour. Highly impressive stuff for a teenager just getting his professional career started. It should come as no surprise that the guy he looks to emulate is one Scottie Scheffler.
"When I played with [Scottie] at the American Express this year, one thing I loved about his game was how consistent he is," Brown said. "I think it's funny, the media, whenever Scottie is on the cut line, is like 'oh no, something's wrong.' It's because he's set such a high standard at the level of golf he can play. I just think consistency is a really challenging thing to do in golf, and it's one thing I'm really striving for."
