Watch Billy Horschel hole this monster eagle putt and put the Memorial on ice

A golf fan needed two screens on Sunday afternoon to soak up all the action in professional golf, with the U.S. Women’s Open at Pine Needles and the Memorial at Muirfield Village sharing the spotlight. And as both Minjee Lee and Billy Horschel carried “comfortable” leads, it was a toss up for a while as to where your attention laid.

That is until Horschel had a brief hiccup during his round outside of Columbus, Ohio, (and chaser Aaron Wise started making some birdies) and a five-stroke lead dipped to two. Suddenly, you knew which event needed the big screen.

Yet as Horschel’s temper started revving up, the 14-year PGA Tour veteran impressively regained control of the moment. On the par-5 15th, Horschel reached the green in two with a 5-wood and had a 52-foot eagle putt. He had made a healthy share of putts all day, but what happened was a dream come true.

Before this, Wise had nearly holed a 102-yard approach shot for eagle, making a birdie. But he bogeyed the 13th hole, so when Horschel’s eagle putt went dark, he was up by four strokes and cruising to victory.

And causing many golf fans to switch to the action at Pine Needles.
