Best Wine

Toasting a late-afternoon round might seem like the pinnacle of wine's connection to golf, but we've found the bond to be much stronger. It's no coincidence that some of the game's biggest celebrities have offered their names—and wallets—to producing a number of styles. Golfers such as Greg Norman, Ernie Els and Cristie Kerr jumped into the wine barrel with both feet, and the results have been well received by noted critics such as Robert Parker. It was Parker, and the endorsement of others in the wine-appreciation community, that helped put the following bottles—all associated with someone in golf—on our list.

You might notice that we don't offer a recommendation for every type of varietal or expression. If there wasn't a particularly good "golf-inspired wine" representing a certain grape or blend, we left it off our list. But the ones that made it, ranging from $10 to $150 per bottle, are all worthy of uncorking after your next round. Keep in mind that some vintages might be harder to find than others, but if there's another year in stock from the same winery, it's probably worth a sip (or three).
