Apple TV+ unveils trailer for 'Stick,' the golf comedy series starring Owen Wilson
Apple TV+ unveiled the trailer for "Stick," an upcoming comedy series about golf starring Owen Wilson. But it also looks like the show will tug at viewers' heartstrings as well.
Wilson plays Pryce Cahill, a former PGA Tour star whose career came undone a couple decades before. Now mired in mid-life crisis, Cahill finds purpose—and a shot at golf redemption—in a 17-year-old prodigy played by Peter Dager.
“That's a theme that people can relate to,” Wilson tells Golf Digest. “Trying to sort of recapture something and seeing in this kid a vehicle for his dreams that were kind of derailed.”
Of course, viewers shouldn't be too surprised that this won't be some slapstick comedy. After all, Apple TV+ is the streaming service behind the popular "Ted Lasso" series.
