Here’s everybody in the field for the 2026 Augusta National Women’s Amateur

Just eight years since its inception, the Augusta National Women’s Amateur has established its place as one of the premier amateur tournaments in the world. That was made clear once again on Wednesday when officials at Augusta National Golf Club revealed that among the 72-player field set to compete in this April’s edition are 48 of the top 50 players in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. That rates just behind the 49 out of 50 who played in last year’s ANWA, which is believed to be the most top 50 players competing in the same tournament in women’s golf history.

The 2026 field currently consists of golfers representing 23 countries and territories as well as all six inhabited continents. Last year’s winner, Carla Bernat Escuder of Spain, has turned pro, but runners-up Asterisk Talley and Kiara Romero (the No. 1-ranked player in the world) return in 2026. Two past champions—Japan’s Tsubasa Kajitani of Japan (2021) and American Anna Davis (2022)—are also back looking to become the first multiple-time winner of the event.

Another notable competing this year is Megha Ganne. This will be the sixth (and likely last) ANWA start for the reigning U.S. Women’s Amateur champion, who is a senior at Stanford and likely to turn pro after the end of the college season this spring. In addition to her ANWA starts, Ganne also competed in the Drive, Chip and Putt National final four times.

Amanda Sambach is also set to make her sixth ANWA start.

The first two rounds of the 2026 ANWA will be played at Champions Retreat Golf Club on April 1 and 2. The top 30 players and ties after 36 holes then advance to play the final round at Augusta National on Saturday, April 4. The entire field gets to play a practice round at Augusta National on Friday, April 3.

For the curious, the two players from the top 50 not competing are Shiyuan Zhou (No. 21), who Golf Channel is reporting is expected to turn pro within the next few weeks, and Louise Uma Landgraf (No. 42), who rose up 24 spots to crack the top 50 after her recent win at the Portuguese Ladies.
