On Thursday, myself and my two The Loop podcast co-hosts Alex Myers and Stephen Hennessey had lunch under the umbrellas next to the ANGC clubhouse, an annual tradition. We barely speak to each other during the meal, because the entire time we're snapping our necks left and right to try and spot another celebrity. Oddly enough, I'm the biggest hockey fan of our trio, and I totally missed Steve saying "The Great One!" when Wayne Gretzky walked past us, to which Gretzky replied with a thank you and a pat on Steve's chest. I sat there in a state of shock. Thirty seconds later, we turned around to see that Rafa Nadal was greeting his fellow countryman Sergio Garcia before Garcia headed to the first tee. The hockey GOAT and one of the tennis GOATs in less than a minute. Oh, and then Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, strolled right past our table. It's the ultimate "place to be" in golf.
