The 22-year-old is playing for the U.S. at the Curtis Cup at Bel-Air, but the Sunday singles matches have fallen on the same day as Stanford University’s commencement. During her college career, Xu won two team NCAA titles with the Cardinal. She didn’t completely miss out on graduation, however. She received her diploma in her own ceremony at Bel-Air. Xu is playing Patience Rhodes in her singles match and is off to a quick lead.
