A lot of talk online (and in the Golf Digest Slack) has been spent breaking down Rory McIlroy’s Masters Champions Dinner menu.
Alex Myers, for example, would rather have a cheeseburger than a Peach & Ricotta Flatbread. But the real money, as always, will be spent on the wine. The four bottles—a champagne, a white burgundy from France and two types of bordeaux—should easily surpass $4,000. And we’re assuming the green jackets won’t let McIlroy escape with just one bottle each. You gotta wash down that Wagyu Filet Mignon with a 2022 Domaine Laflaive Batard-Montrachet … or what’s the point?
