Oh Ben Kohles, not again.

The 36-year-old has won five Korn Ferry Tour events, including the first two he ever played back in 2012 (when it was the Web.com Tour) and one just last month. He was still looking for his first PGA Tour title. He came to the final hole Sunday at the John Deere Classic tied for the lead with Chris Gotterup. Standing 175 yards from the pin, Kohles hit an 8-iron that ultimately found the water left of the green. He chipped the next shot to three feet and missed that one and made double bogey. From a chance to win, to at least a look at a playoff to losing by two shots and losing a ton of money. In fact, missing the three footer for bogey on the last cost Kohles roughly $320,000. Ouch. (Two years ago, with a chance to win the Byron Nelson, Kohles was the only person in the round to bogey the par-5 18th hole and finished a shot behind Taylor Pendrith.)

"You know, obviously sucks to just have that happen on the last hole, but hey, you know, learned a lot about myself," Kohles said. "Me and my caddie are doing such a good job, and it's only going to make me better going forward."
