The club has announced the addition of a second course, designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, on a newly acquired 520-acre parcel of land that sits southeast of the existing property. The Coore and Crenshaw course will complement the existing 18-hole course, designed by Mike DeVries, which is currently ranked 108th on our most recent ranking of America’s Second 100 Greatest Courses and is fourth in our Best in Michigan rankings. Tree clearing began earlier this year, as some astute observers have pointed out on social media, and the course has a projected full opening in 2029 with some possible preview play in 2028. Escalante Golf, which now owns Kingsley Club, is making an approximately $40 million investment in the property, including a new clubhouse on the site of the existing, modest structure.
