Jennifer Kupcho went berserk in her Friday fourball match,

making a 90-foot putt on 17 then another from outside 25 feet on 18 for her and Lindy Duncan to top Carlota Ciganda and Celine Boutier. It was significant because it pulled the Solheim Cup matches into a tie at 8 after two days. Shortly after, singles matchups were released and Ciganda, playing in her eighth Cup, saw her opponent: Jennifer Kupcho.

“I was really happy to see that I was playing against Kupcho,” Ciganda said. “She's a fighter, I'm a fighter, and I told her, ‘look, great playing.’ I mean, even yesterday what she did was amazing on 17 and 18. But today I knew she had no chance. I was like, I want to kill you. So I had it very clear in my mind, and I was, like, I'm just going to do this for the team, for Anna [Nordqvist], for all the captains.”
