There was little drama in Jackson Koivun being named winner of the 2026 Ben Hogan Award on Monday night,

but plenty of humility in his voice—listen yourself to the video below—as he became just the third player to earn the award for a second time. The Auburn junior has put together one of the top men’s college seasons in recent memory with six wins in last nine starts and a 67.9 stroke average. Koivun claimed he was still nervous awaiting the outcome at the black-tie dinner (love the pomp and circumstance by the way) at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth with fellow finalists Ben James and Preston Stout. He’s got a big week ahead; he’s playing in the pro-am at the PGA Tour event this week, then on to La Costa for the NCAA Championship. Koivun should get his acceptance speeches in order: He’s a lock to win the Fred Haskins Award and the Jack Nicklaus Award in the coming days.
