The 27-year-old from Germany needed birdie on the 72nd hole at Royal Lytham & St. Annes to get into a playoff with Shiko Kuwaki at the AIG Women's British Open. She was not pleased with her wedge shot approach shot that left her a birdie attempt from 40 feet. But she (calmly?) stepped up and made it to give her a shot to win her first major title. Kuwaki, a 23-year-old from Japan, shot 70 and was done about 30 minutes prior. They now head to the 18th hole for sudden death.
