Notice anything unusual about Aaron Rai's setup?

The current PGA Championship leader plays the ball almost in the middle of his stance.

This is unusual—most players put the ball position inside their lead heel with their driver—but Rai puts his more back because he says it helps him rotate more on his downswing.

Quirky, but it works.

Rai has both one of the lowest launch angles (7.47 degrees) and highest spin rates (2,820 RPMs) in golf. He's also hit more fairways than anybody else on tour the past three years.
