The sixth hole at TPC San Antonio at this week's Valero Texas Open is really interesting...

Because the back-left pin is on such a difficult plateau, it's basically impossible to get close to it no matter what club is in your hands. It's why the scoring averages are so similar from wherever in the fairway you are.

💡 The lesson is that when the pin is in such a difficult spot, there's almost no upside for being more aggressive off the tee. While usually not the best idea, bunting a shorter club into the fairway in these situations isn't going to hurt you.
