Why We Like It
- A faster face and a range of adjustable lofts make these hybrids among the most versatile in the game.
- Ping lowered the face height by 8 percent and made it thinner. This encourages center-face contact for a higher launch and more ball speed.
- A redesigned interior section of the hosel removes mass that helps to lower the center of gravity by 12 percent for higher launch and less spin.
- A lightweight carbon-composite section wraps around the back half of the crown to make room for a rear sole weight for improved stability.
- A slimmer rear section helps keep the sole flush to the ground so that the face angle changes less when the hosel is adjusted.
- The specs of these hybrids target the players most likely to use them: The 2-hybrid is designed for faster swingers who prefer a lower, fade-bias ball flight, and the 3- and 4-hybrids have ample loft to help approach shots hold the greens.
- Top 5 in Performance, low-, middle-, high-handicaps
- 17, 20, 23, 26, 30, 34 degrees (with an eight-way adjustable hosel)

Best in class. Simple to align with the painted grooves on the face, and just the right proportions and depth to the head. It's Impossible to mis-hit. You can reach back and go for any distance you want with a reliable, high, straight ball flight. I could hit this all day.

The matte finish comes off as a little boring to me. I'm not excited to hit it. Impact was firm and not very responsive. Center and off-center hits felt the same.

Jason

I love the blending of the carbon at the back of the clubhead. The white lines on the face give the appearance of added loft, which I like. The sole design glides through the ground well and gets the ball up in the air.

Wayne

For my swing speed, the ball speed was much higher compared to other hybrids I hit. When I hit the ball off the heel or toe, it would go straight. If I pulled it left, it stayed left. Same thing on shots I hit to the right. It just won't let you exaggerate your misses. I think you could use this all over the course and get good results, even on mis-hits.

Alejandra

It was easy to hit a good shot and repeat the same ball flight—which, for me, was a baby draw. Impact can be a little loud and harsh, but I didn't find it too disturbing, especially considering the performance I got from the club.

Very easy to get the ball up in the air and hold the green. Crisp tone off the face. Carry wasn't exceptional because there was a little more spin on some shots. Easy to slide through the ground.

My favorite thing about this club was the lie angle. My hands were positioned perfectly at address and the club sat down nicely behind the ball. Because of that, it was easy to get dialed in and get exceptional distance. It was very fast through the ball.

This club produced great distance for me. Has a get-up-and-go attitude and wind-busting, piercing trajectory to ball flight. This is a trusty partner with easy distance and a confidence-inspiring sound and feel.

If you make a smooth, disciplined swing, the ball will go where you want with good distance. It is long and fast, for sure. I lost some distance on off-center hits, but the dispersion wasn't terrible. I like that there's some adjustability. You can make some tweaks to maximize performance.

Smaller Ping head with minimal items on top. The singular alignment dot is all you need. Solid feel coming through the ball and piercing, high ball flight that carries. Forgiveness was good: I hit several shots that came back to the center and didn't overdo the miss.

I like the versatility of this club. Its compact proportions allow you to hit the ball off the ground and work it from left to right, but not in a way that's too spinny. I was also able to flight the ball at different trajectories. Easily playable off the fairway turf or as a teeing club. Good thump at impact.

Molly

Classic shape and design suffer from painted grooves. Forgiveness is high and launch and spin are excellent. It's not often I hit a club that consistently stops between 170 and 175 yards. Misses were mitigated by not being overly spinny.

I like the head shape overall. It's a little more on the compact side, but looks forgiving at the same time. The adjustability of the head is clutch. One tweak made a massive difference in terms of launch and spin. Pow, it's a great club!

Feels and performs more like an iron than a hybrid. Spin is lower than average and ball flight is firm, penetrating. Forgiveness is there in terms of distance and left and right dispersion. I like the uniform design on the crown but am not a fan of the two-tone grooves on the face.

I really like the matted black crown and the minimal embellishments to it. The exposed carbon is a good look. At impact, there is a very quiet but powerful feel and sound. You feel like you're crushing the ball. Very good forgiveness—mis-hits tend to go very straight with a minimal loss of distance.

Smooth, simple. The white lines on the face sort of cradle the ball at address and tell you exactly where you need to hit it. For a slicer, this club really feels like your jam. It just kept wanting to draw even when I tried to slice it, and always with massive distance. It just will not slice.

Perfect-sized head, easy to line up. I felt each mis-hit drastically in my hands. But when I hit the sweet spot, the sound was pure golf bliss. A perfect flush feeling. I found it very unforgiving, but if you can consistently find the center of the face it's fantastic—the ball goes a mile and is very accurate.

My initial impression was confirmed in that it's an absolute launcher. Super easy to hit with large sweet spot across the entire face. When you catch one in the middle of the face the numbers blow the competition out of the water. Had a great ringing feel and sound to go along with it.

Anand

The ball launched super-high, with low spin, and was extremely forgiving. Very consistent distance, too—I hit four balls within five yards of each other. The sound was typical Ping, on the louder side, but it feels soft. It's got that spring-like effect off the face. The face isn't super-thin and has a little meat behind it. I love that!

I like that this club presents a large sweet spot with the color of the grooves—it shows me exactly where I need to hit the ball. Not many mis-hits; the ball flew nice and high and landed softly. I definitely feel like I can attack a green with this club and not worry about it skipping over.

Ryan

The contrasting lines on the face of the club make it easy to align properly. It's not overly heavy or light, but the ball marries nicely to the face at impact. I would have liked to have seen a bit more forgiveness than it gave me.

Jack

The face is really hot. Shots just exploded off the club. The ball launched high but the spin was very controllable. You're not cheating the height: It gets into the air because it's launched. A long but not overly deep surface area on the face gives you tons of room on the heel and toe, so you don't lose much distance on off-center hits.

Alex

Definitely forgiving. I left the face open a few times and thought those shots were going to be off the planet, and they were just baby cuts.
