Review

“North Shore Golf Club is a par 70 golf course that challenges golfers by requiring a variety of precise shots into its green complexes. The course utilizes a natural ravine by routing play through it rather than playing over it - two par 3 greens are located in the ravine while the fairways on two of the par 4's allow you to lay up short of the ravine or hit down into it off the tee for a shorter uphill approach shot into the green. Many holes are treelined yet the course allows for plenty of shot options throughout the round along with a few forced carries which are reasonable challenges for all levels of players. The routing makes for a great course to walk. Despite most of the holes running in a north or south direction the use of the ravine and the complex green surfaces keep the course interesting and enjoyable to play. The course was well maintained and greens held well struck approach shots and putts rolled true. The course recently hosted the 2016 Wisconsin State Amateur and the 2018 Wisconsin State Open which is a testament that despite its shorter length the course still has teeth and can defend itself against top golfers with a high level of ability. If you are in the area and have access to play this private course I believe you will enjoy a round of golf here."
