“Interesting golf course with lots of undulations and few flat lies. Pretty constricting as it is way overtreed. Greens are very nice with lots of variety. If the planned renovation is completed by Andrew Green it could be a real gem."

“Unusually rumpled fairways giving almost no flat lies. Beautiful greens and nice variety of shapes and complexes. Way overtreed. It will be interesting to see what Andrew Green does as they have a renovation in the works. If it goes through the course will definitely be worth a revisit as it should open things up and reveal many more of the land forms producing something special."

“A.V. Macan had a nice plot of land with which to work. The course makes good use of the rolling terrain with blind drives on holes 2 and 9 leading to long downhill runouts. Closely-mown turf around many greens adds to aesthetics."

“The first hole, a short par 5, is uphill all the way. The second hole combined with the first hole make for a challenging start. A friendly par 3 follows. Covered driving range with heaters to warmth in the winter! Excellent food!"

“A very nice AV Macan layout with more recent updates from Jeff Mingay. The course sits on wonderful ground for golf with lots of undulations and topography that result in very few flat lies. Greens are in beautiful shape - firm and fast; it’s best to try to stay below the hole! Jeff has removed some trees to open up vistas and improve turf health. He’s also done some updates to bunkers including re-introducing some Macan bunkers that had been removed over the years. It’s a fun course to play."
