“Willow Oaks is a private course in Richmond, VA. It's built on a hillside that rolls down to a river. The character and course layout are excellent. For additional information, please see evaluation comments."

Review

“The first 13 holes are very enjoyable with a good variety of hole lengths and challenge, then it gets interesting. The closing holes consist of a 235 yd par 3; a par 5 that requires a lay up off the tee, a layup over marsh to 130 yds and then a wedge over marsh to a slightly elevated green; a 475 yd par 4 and then an uphill par 4 18th. Challenging close to say the least. The views along the James River are great and the course is in good condition with Bermuda throughout and good bunkers."

“While playing Willow Oaks Country Club, the golfer finds himself traversing a bluff overlooking the golf course and James river. The course offers variety and beautiful views. I found the course in excellent condition thanks to the healthy burmuda turf and mild early summer weather."
