“Sitting at the base of Shenandoah National Park, Schoolhouse Nine is the only golf course in the whole county as a 9-hole par 3 course. Opened in 2015, the course has become somewhat trendy on Instagram due to its wild greens and thoughtful bunkering. Overall, it is a very low-frills environment that is dog-friendly and a great place for beginners to learn. With several holes over 150 yards as well, it is a solid place to practice for better players as well. As far as par 3 courses go, Schoolhouse Nine certainly stands out for its architecture and setting and is worth a play should you find yourself in this rural part of Virginia."
