“Good layout weaving it's way through undulating hills peppered with bunkers and sloped fairways and a routed strategically around a creek. Balanced mix of doglegs right, left, as well as using the bunkers and creek to force more clubs off the tee than driver. Unique par 5, #10, with multiple doglegs, and creek cutting off the drive at approximately 270 yds, followed by a forced left to right shot to an unsually tight landing area sloping to the right. Possible design issue created by surrounding residential area. Greens offered a lot of variety in slope, as well as size to create many hole locations."

“Fun but challenging Nicklaus design course, home of the Texas A&M golf team. Drives require thought and a fair amount of precision if you are going to have the opportunity to hit the greens. Similar to many Nicklaus designs, the greens are not large, but they are also not unfairly small. good variety of holes, from short to long par 4s. The par 3 #9 and #16 are beautiful, demanding, but fair."

“Great club and clubhouse. Excellent covered area on the range. Can be a long round with numerous forced carries and meandering creeks. You will need 2 sleeves of balls minimum if you are a ten handicap or higher!"
