Overview
The Palmer Lakeside course is the only one of the four layouts at Omni Barton Creek Resort that is located off property. The course is about 40 minutes from the resort and is situated on a hilltop overlooking Lake Travis. Given the setting on the hilltop, there are scenic views of the lake down below and plenty of elevation changes. The signature par-3 11th plays over a pond to a green perched in front of an impressive stone-covered waterfall.

“Really really good par threes on the back (3 of them). Beautiful holes. Routing is solid with a good amount of shot options. Can’t bomb driver off every hole, have to think about what to do. Bunkers in good shape."

“A 2024 redesign that just needs time to mature. I had not played it before the redesign so cannot comment on the changes made. Greens were rock hard, first 9 iron into #1 landed 10 feet short and bounced as high as the pin and went off the back of the green. This made for an interesting day knowing anything landing on the green would rocket forward so if not a really high trajectory shot, a good shot needed to land short. Some amazing vistas on the opening tee with large elevation changes, it is a fun resort course to play and needs time to mature and play to the level of its counterparts."
