“New bunkering noted but a bit inconsistent and not yet packed properly. Turf grass has been changed and an improvement. Course was overly watered and very mushy in spots although it was a perfect day. It's October so I didn't understand that. The layout is very good as well as the routing. It's an aerial course which doesn't give many ops for run up shots. It flows in and out of some groves of trees. It's challenging, some hazards are hidden and will catch the unsuspecting off guard as they are close to some greens. That does add to the challenge and shot options. You can't just fire away, you 've got to think your way around there."

“Very disappointing Myrtle Beach course. Layout is very dated, with several holes that are functionally mirror images of one another. Lots of hallway par 4's with two greenside and two fairway bunkers. Use of water features feels lacking given the property is surrounded by marsh and winds through a large lake. Green complexes were certainly the highlight, but the green speeds (incredibly slow) didn't allow for much ingenuity in shots played into and near the greens."

“A short course by today's standards but good for speed of play resort and public facility. Some water and sand to protect par with good condition."

“Fantastic layout and really fun to play. Overall conditions were solid. Green complexes offer a variety of pin placements that depending on location could change the level of difficulty."

“One of my favorite courses in South Myrtle. Always in good shape and a good test."

“A golf course experience that must be had while in the Myrtle Beach area. This course will be sure to become your favorite. You will see every type of golf shot (doglegs, lay ups, forced carrys, etc...) all while enjoying the beautiful sights of 300 year old live Oaks, Alligators, and the often seen Bald Eagles. Heritage offers some of the largest but most undulated greens in Myrtle Beach. When your finish your round you can relax in the historic clubhouse designed to resemble a plantation Mansion."
