Overview
Daniel Island Club consists of 36 holes—the Ralston Creek course, designed by Rees Jones, and the Beresford Creek course by Tom Fazio—that weave through the lowcountry north of Charleston. Both layouts have been in Golf Digest's Best Courses in South Carolina rankings, but the Ralston Creek is currently ranked higher than the Fazio design. Both courses co-hosted the 2023 U.S. Junior Amateur.

“While better than your average club, it doesn't measure up to the better golf courses in South Carolina. The conditioning is very good, but it simply has too many average golf holes. However, the finishing holes are particularly good and leave the golfer with good feelings of his/her round."

“Aesthetically pleasing course that meanders through South Carolina lowcountry. Playable course off the teen for members with heavily sloped greens tests the better player. The green surrounds are generally shortgrass with mounding which allows a player to putt, bump and run, or flop shots toward the hole."

“A solid Rees Jones lowcountry layout north of Chrleston. A nice combination of straight holes and doglegs(both right and left) that require one to think about postioning of the tee to set up best approach to the green. Best three hole stretch is holes 9-11 that require forced carries over stunning marsh areas. The course is well maintained and allows some forgiveness off the tees with generous landing areas. The most demanding hole is 16 - a dogleg right par 4 that requires a carry over a lake to a green that sits diagonally with a bunker over the green which makes the golfer hit his number. Worth a visit if you are in the Charleston area."

“This was a very fun golf course to play and it did present its challenges. I found several of the holes redundant stealing away from the overall golf experience. The course is in great shape and it is obvious the GCS takes great pride in the conditioning of the bunkers, greens, tee boxes and more. A good golf course for sure."
