“Gently rolling terrain on the outskirts of PA Dutch & Amish country. Surrounded by farmlands, little distractions are present from road noise or unsightly structures. The course is laid out with expansive views, few blind shots, and large, mostly level bunkers that demand good shot making to avoid. The greens are the attraction here. Large and undulating that are expertly maintained. They hold well and roll true. Skill in reading break and grain are required. One of my truly favorite golf courses to play."

“A George Fazio course featuring large challenging greens set on rolling terrain in Fleetwood, Pa., near Reading. Elevation changes on the back nine add to the wide variety of holes influenced by the steep slopes creating the need to shape shops to hold several fairways. The water run off from the same slopes make green reading a challenge, particularly on the back nine."

“Good condition, very hilly, cabins to stay over night."

“Course played much more interesting from the back tees. Good mix of (slight) doglegs. Well placed bunkers in target areas required accurate tee shots or decisions to hit different clubs off the tee. Greens were in good shape with undulations. Course was dry and fast."

“Rocky grass ravines on 3 of first 5 holes present a nice wake-up call. With grass peninsula bunkers, some earthing 8-10' deep, this course delivers a quality challenge (at 6,950 yards and a rating of 73.7 on a par 70). The MLB par three 13th from elevated 'pitcher's mound tee box' to triple undulating 'catcher's mitt' green is a thing of beauty."

“Course was interesting but not in the best condition. Back 9 was much more interesting than the front 9."
