“A very enjoyable Donald Ross property. Some very interesting uses of the elevation changes combined with some rolling terrain keep things interesting. Greens vary in size from very small to very large with mild to severe undulations. A very fun golf course to play."

“An old Donald Ross course that is in excellent condition, variety of hole configurations, and speedy receptive greens surrounded by bunkers that are challenging. Fun course if the player can get on this private course."

“This is a great old Donald Ross course with a re do by Andrew Green and last year (22) they reno'd all the bunkers. The use of elevation change around the course is really good. A lot of uphill and downhill shots to go with a LOT of sidehill lies. In fact there aren't a whole lot of flat lies on the course. Compared to some other DR courses, the greens are tame. That doesn't mean they are flat! There is a fair amount of undulation in them but they are a joy and a challenge to putt. There are several very tempting risk/reward options around the course. #13 is a 308 (from the back tees) dogleg right par 4. Drivable for longer hitters but in the crook of the dogleg is a ravine, a deep ravine. So if you miss right you're basically dead. But everyone can cut something off the corner, just choose wisely. The next hole is a 525 yard, dogleg left par 5 but from the landing area to the green is sharply down hill. So a well placed tee shot with a little draw will catch the hill and roll a long way toward the green. But old growth trees guard the left side of the dogleg. #16 is a 408 yard par 4 that is uphill all the way. The tee shot is up hill, but your 2nd shot is REALLY uphill to a green that almost sits in a little depression. Between the end of the fairway and the green is probably 75 yards of uphill rough. So miss the green and you not only have a tough uphill chip, but they you have to climb back up to the green. Overall a very fun golf course to play."

“CCY is a great track that challenges all levels of players. The layout is challenging but extremely enjoyable. The clubhouse staff and golf staff have always provided a great experience. The clubhouse has a great back patio overlooking the 18th green complex which makes finishing for a group of golfers exciting. If ever given the opportunity, CCY is a must."
