“A nice resort course with a good variety of hole layouts, not just left and right but up and downhill. Several of the holes (9 & 13 are examples) require tee shot be properly placed. If you do the holes are fairly easy. Misplace your tee shot and you will struggle. 15 is a great par 3. Pretty severe downhill layout which is compounded by the wind coming off the Pacific to your left or the bay straight ahead. It's only 155 from the back tees but it's a much harder shot than that. Greens are fairly flat and roll fast and true."

“Quality coastal course design with half of the course up on the hill side, while the back 9 is more coastal, with more wind effect. The hill side holes are questionably too narrow, and create some challenge. A few holes on the back (12-14) were uninspired. Overall it lacks length. It underwent a renovation at some point and they obviously took pains to try to lengthen it, sometimes purchasing land across the natural border roads to create new back tees. Fairways had noticeable blemishes that could create difficulty hitting off of, but the greens were coastal grasses which rolled reliably fast and true."
