“The Devlin/Von Hagge golf course at Quail Hollow CC is a relatively tight and tree-lined parkland style layout. Condition has been inconsistent the past several years but as of this writing (spring 2021), the golf course looks as good as it has in years. The greens are generally fast with generous amounts of slope making for hazardous putting if on wrong side of the hole. Many of the greens have precious few pinning options due to the slope and speed. The premium on driving the ball accurately and the limited options one has to create shots to get in position when wayward off the tee can get a little tedious. The heavy amounts of mature trees that line the holes makes for inconsistent rough and a sharp punch-out game. Worth a play if in the area but not worth going out of your way for."
