Overview
Just down the road from the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, The Otesaga’s Leatherstocking course plays along the scenic shores of Lake Otsego. The rolling layout finishes strong with the par-3 17th playing over water and the par-5 18th teeing off from a narrow island peninsula to a fairway bending around the lake.

“Beautiful course on the lake -- the 18th with the island tee is a special finish. Good course overall and the resort looked lovely (did not stay)."

“Leatherstocking is a historic public design located right near the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. The course occupies a beautiful setting, running along the side of the hill along a lake. This creates great land movement, especially on holes 9-12 across the road, and enhances the aesthetics and fun. While not a long course at just 6400 yards, the hilly nature and tricky greens make it more difficult than you'd expect the first time you play. This is easily one of the top public courses in New York and the Northeast."

“Leatherstocking is so much fun to play and has a ton of "classic" character to it. It makes up for being relatively short and somewhat easy with tons of charm and great views of the lake and hotel. Really good conditions and worth the trip."
