“A very nice public golf course with rolling land mixed with challanging forced carry and blind shots. True 3 shot par 5 mixed with severe elevation changes fill the back 9. A closing hole with blind tee shot to a green protected by water short and a hill long, penalizing errant approach shots. A fun day of golf."

“A semi-private Jack Nicklaus design in upstate NY, Mansion Ridge is a nice upscale public option with a hilly, challenging layout. The course grows more difficult on the back nine with a stretch of tight, long par fours beginning with the par 4 12th. The closing hole plays severely downhill with a beautiful approach over water. This is one of the better public options within an hour of NYC if you're willing to make the commute."
