“A picturesque course that is fun to play. Previously choked with pine tree lined fairways, if even 10 yards off on the drive, one would find a punch out with few other options. Now, with the removal of many of the pines, the course has opened up, as have the shot options. Other alterations have enhanced risk reward options and has enhanced the enjoyment in managing the course. Penfield CC favors a left to right shot shape with a number of dog leg right layouts. Greens are fast and true and bunkering well positioned. If in the Rochester region, a course that is definitely worth trying to take a crack at."
