“Built by A.W. Tillinghast, Paramount CC (formerly Dellwood) occupies a hilly terrain just west of the Hudson River. The course offers solid bunkering, and a good variety of uphill and downhill shots. These greens almost all run back-to-front and given the speed they run, one has to question how fair some of the pin placements are. The best stretch of holes occurs on the back 9 beginning with the long, winding downhill par 5 11th and culminating in the fun, semi-blind 16th playing over a busy road. These holes are the hilliest on the property and offer the best aesthetics. New York is an extremely competitive state for private golf; Paramount is far from an elite option but is definitely worth a play."

“Tillinghast design that was a pleasant surprise. The front nine is excellent with some holes that have really good greens. The 10th is unfortunate because of the public road crossing the landing area, but otherwise there's still a lot to like. Flies under the radar in a golf-crazy area, but worth a visit if you get an invite."
