“Its a cliche but Cherry Valley is the type of course that doesn't get discussed mostly becuase of its neighbors. I don't think it belongs on any national rankings but I do think it worthy of consideration for any comprehensive New York State ranking. There are some wonderful travis features in the greens and bunkers. It's in many ways a toned down version of the Men's Club but that is still very good"

“This is the kind of course that sneaks up on you. The land is quite flat, the course asks you to really think. The bunkers are strategically positioned, especially off the tee, placing an emphasis on correct positioning. The greens have just enough movement to keep you uneasy, even on putts that look simple at first. It’s fair, but demanding and provides enough subtlety that makes you want to come back and play it again after learning the hidden strategy the first time around"
