Overview
The three championship nines at Neshanic Valley opened in the mid-2000s and cover 350 acres. The course has an open feel with generous fairways that are framed nicely by tall fescue. Neshanic Valley—located less than 20 miles from the USGA’s headquarters in Liberty Corner—hosted the 2012 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links. In addition to the three championship nines, the facility has a par-32 Academy Course for beginners.

“Good course that keeps the round moving with ample width off the tee and short, playable fescue to find errant shots easily. I'd like to go back mid-season to see how high they let it grow. Ridge 9 was more challenging, but the Lake 9 was more interesting."

“Course includes 27 holes spread over a large area. Playing from just over 7,000 yards from the tips, the course offers generously wide fairways that play straightforward. Several greens are protected by bunkers directly in the front that must be carried to smaller landing areas and danger if you go long. Lines of play are important. Greens are generous with minimal tiering or contours. Course does offer changes in elevation. The Ridge nine offers a great view of the property. In October, when the fescue is up, the course would be in full color and would add to the experience. Conditions were good but not very firm or fast. Overall, a public course in north central NJ that was an enjoyable place to play."
